Endovascularly Treated Superficial Femoral Artery Aneurysm Rupture Secondary to Campylobacter fetus Bacteremia: A Case Report

چکیده
Degenerative aneurysms of the superficial femoral artery (SFA) are relatively rare and often recognized when they become symptomatic such as rupture. Infected SFA much rarer, especially those caused by Campylobacter fetus bacteremia. We report a case 67-year-old woman referred to our hospital owing presence painful reddish swelling on her left thigh. A huge aneurysm rupture was diagnosed, endovascular treatment with covered stent performed. C. detected in blood culture thereafter, antibacterial therapy successfully performed without any additional surgical interventions. She remained well evidence indolent infection 19 months after treatment. The approach appropriate prolonged would be feasible alternative for managing selected infected cases.

A Case Report of Ruptured Superficial Femoral Artery Aneurysm
Single superficial femoral artery (SFA) aneurysm is rare and occurs in approximately 5 per 100,000 patients. Rupture is a rare complication in this aneurysm. In this case report, we present the diagnostic and therapeutic work up of a ruptured SFA aneurysm of the right lower limb in a 75-year-old diabetic man with ischemic heart disease. Pre-surgical diagnosis was through physical examination fi...

A 96-year-old male presented with left lower extremity pain, swelling, and vascular compromise. Computed tomographic angiography revealed an actively rupturing distal superficial femoral artery aneurysm. The patient underwent prompt aneurysm excision with graft interposition and had a successful postoperative outcome. Our case illustrates the critical role of imaging in establishing a definitiv...

True isolated atherosclerotic aneurysm of the superficial femoral artery is a rare pathology. We report a case of ruptured superficial femoral artery aneurysms (SFAA) not associated with aortic, common femoral or popliteal artery aneurysms. An emergency surgical procedure was performed and, after endoaneurysmal branches ligation, a ePTFE graft interposition was performed. The literature review ...

A 79-year-old man, with a background of peripheral vascular disease, presented to the emergency department with a sudden increase in the size of his swelling in the right thigh, indicating rupture of his right superficial femoral artery aneurysm. His past medical history included having had a left femoropopliteal bypass (1986), abdominal aortic aneurysm repair (1991), repair of false aneurysm o...
متن کاملRupture of Giant Superficial Femoral Artery Aneurysm in a Leukemic Patient Submitted to Chemotherapy
The superficial femoral artery (SFA) is a relatively rare location for lower limb aneurysmatic disease. In the literature, this disease is described an association between a relatively high growth rate and/or the rupture of aneurysms and chemotherapeutic agents. We report a case of the rupture of a giant SFA aneurysm in a patient during chemotherapy for acute lymphatic leukemia.
